Ambassador Allan McKinnon was pleased to host the Australian Embassy’s annual Iftar dinner to acknowledge the significance and blessing of the holy month of Ramadan and to celebrate the strong bonds of friendship between Australia and our Thai Muslim friends. The dinner was attended by distinguished members of Thailand’s Muslim community, many of whom travelled a long way to attend our Iftar dinner. Ambassador McKinnon said that Islamic values such as selflessness, charity, compassion and justice are values that all Australians share. He wished everyone a blessed month of devotion and reflection in this month. Eid is soon approaching – Ramadan Kareem and Eid Mubarak.
